Latest News (3/1/2008)

Happy New Year to all and a special thank you to all that attended the fantastic gigs we had in 2007. Highlights being Stretch First playing the two final months at The Cross (before it sadly closed on new years day), The Sunday Summer Squeeze, and the new exciting outfit involving our new singer Auriol.

2008 sees the outfit taking on the name "La Casa Nueva", with the team wanting to bring a new form to house music, and now also includes Tom Ashe on trumpet and percussion. The guys have already had some interest from the festival circuit so expect to see some big things in the summer of 2008.

Stretch First is moving along as well, and has found a new residency in Brixton...News on this will be breaking very shortly.

The Stretch First Photo Shoot. Special Thanks to Robert Kacala, our photographer (www.robertkacala.com) for some absolutely amazing shots...Check them out in the photo section, and hopefully in the press soon, as they are part of our Press Pack for Stretch First - www.stretchfirst.co.uk

Next stretch first Feb 2008.

The Auriol Showcase @ Mintleaf starring a fantastic new addition to the Cut Rug Team, Auriol on Vocals, was an amazing success. The improvisational skills of Matty Zee on sax complimenting the free flowing singing of Auriol, with Rob Boy mixing the tracks and adding some light percussion. The team blew the crowd away, and was asked by Mintleaf management to supply the entertainment for Kelly Osbourne and the Chicago Musical Cast the following week. Expect to see more of the trio very soon. Check out the review in "Canary Wharf: City Life" October Magazine...Mintleaf Review - Oct07
